Aims

Eco n'Home AIMS to achieve...

- significant savings in energy use and carbon emissions in dwellings and in travel

- a target average of 10 - 20% in energy per household, at least half in transportation

- a target average of 1 tonne in emissions per household, at least half in transportation

- progress in energy and climate policy delivery in member states and particularly Directives on Energy Services, Building Performance, Kyoto obligations


OBJECTIVES for achieving these aims are to...

- develop a new, innovative and effective approach to sustainable energy advice for households

- demonstrate and improve this approach in a representative sample of 1,000 households

- produce a common, transferrable methodology to enable easy replication by any organisation, in any country, and at any level

- achieve a sustained and sustainable change in household attitudes and behaviour toward energy saving, energy efficiency, renewable and low carbon energy types, and on climate change

- experiment with white certificates in the domestic sector

- involve a wide target audience of energy and policy actors in delivery and dissemination
