When advice met fate

This short story is focused on how, sometimes, even low-chance opportunities can be achieved due to external reasons, and lead to good results.

During the audits carried out by EAA in Turin, one of the hardest tasks has not been to raise awareness, provide information, or inform people on the emissions associated with their travel. Instead is has been helping them understand sustainable travel opportunities they can use in their day-to-day life.

The common objections, about km per year reduction is trips are needed for daily journeys to work, and because of that, they are very difficult to shorten. It was not therefore a suprise when a household responded in this way.

EAA decided to concentrate instead on eco-driviing and consumption based on speed and driving styles, spare time km reduction, and economic cost.

Almost immediately after EAA learned that the householder had lost his job, and were concerned that this was a direct result of travel changes. In fact it was not and the man quickly found a new job - even better, the new office is near his home and from that day on, he has used only the bicycle to reach his work place.
