e-ster is a young Factor-4 energy services company. 'Factor-4' refers to the concept of Ernst von Weiszacker, Hunter and Amory Lovins or in other words, to using energy 4 times more efficiently than at present. While global wealth is expected to double during the next fourty years, a Factor-4 improvement in energy efficiency would have the effect of halving world energy use at at the same time, address concerns such as climate change, geo-political tensions, and terrorist risks towards radio-active material.

The main activities of e-ster are energy audits ; design assistance for Zero EnergyBuildings ; and consulting on electric appliances.
e-ster’s clients are mostly Belgian family companies who want to reduce their energy consumption in a cost-effective way and on a voluntary basis.

To date, over 100 energy audits in office buildings and industrial sites have been carried out.
